Hot Mobile Turns to CALLUPS for SIM Card Help

Israeli telecommunications operator, Hot Mobile,, has called on VAS (value-added systems) and MDM (mobile device management) solutions operator CALLUP,, to use its SIM (subscriber identity module) OTA (over-the-air) platform for remote management of the company’s SIM cards.

As a result of the deal, Hot Mobile will now have the ability to oversee the life cycle of the SIM card, from activations to upgrades to cancellations.

The basis for the OTA platform is derived from CALLUP’S MDM device management platform, which includes features such as Remote File Management, Remote Applet Management, and other OTA SIM operations. Additionally, advanced features including Steering of Roaming, Location Tracking, and Welcome SMS are included.

SIM OTA will allow Hot Mobile to provide control commands on SIM cards using API (application program interface) or via the user interface.

According to Avi Benguigui, vice president of engineering, Hot Mobile, “CALLUP’s SIM OTA will allow us to manage the SIM cards with maximum efficiency, improving customer service and saving considerable costs and time, while interfacing with various functions related to our extensive mobile activity.”
