Citrix,, a company creating mobile workplace solutions, announced the exclusive preview for the Linux,, VDA (Virtual Delivery Agent) project. Selected participants will be able to provide feedback and test Linux VDA during this early access.

Citrix allows for secure access on a mobile workspace from anywhere. Pairing Linux, an open-operating software, with Citrix HDX will provide exceptional performance and bandwidth efficiency for anyone accessing Linux desktops from any device, over any network. Its customers will be able to use the Citrix VDA on each server or desktop hosted in the data center.

Virtualized Linux apps and desktops integrate with Citrix’s XenApp and XenDesktop, which allow users to mobilize Windows apps and desktops on any mobile device. It also extends the FMA (FlexCast Management Architecture) to allow for additional usage in industries such as automotive, manufacturing, oil and gas and financial services

Linux can be an ideal platform for many industries because of its 3D modeling and high-performance graphics. Citrix customers have been asking for virtual desktop support for Linux 3D applications. These customers want to send their employees secure global access with their mobile and desktop devices, all while controlling business-critical intellectual property.

Interested customers can register immediately and fill out an application to participate in the preview:
