Command Post: Breaking Down Silos in Construction

Research shows workers could save an estimated 12 hours a week by improving cross-functional collaboration and alignment. What’s more, 80% of respondents view reducing data and information silos as critical or high priority, according to data released at the end of 2022. This certainly is true in the construction industry today. Let’s take a look.

Software silos, and the need to have the right tool or app for the job, have created a fragmented multi app software scenario that inhibits technology adoption.

Recognizing this challenge, Command Technologies unveiled Command Post—a solution rooted in RevOps, which collects key information from sales, marketing, construction, and service departments to provide senior management with a high-level end-to-end view of the future while leaving day-to-day processes within the departments. Command Technologies, CEO Peter Lasensky, explains, “Our RevOps app together with our purpose-built Command Post Sync microservices—starting with contacts, projects, and entities—address the core issues hindering software interoperability in construction.

Command Post serves as an information hub providing seamless communication, collaboration, and alignment among teams.

A companion app called Command Post Sync revolutionizes contact management in construction. By consolidating and standardizing contact information across applications, it eliminates duplicate contacts and minimizes errors.

“Command Post offers this promise: Never enter the same information more than once,” says Peggy Smedley, editorial director of Constructech, and president of Specialty Publishing Media. “Command Post meets a critical need in the construction industry by saving time and improving accuracy. In an industry where every minute counts, Command Post recognizes the needs of the industry and delivers with this product.”

Constructech recently announced that Command Post’s Contractor’s Command Post was named a 2024 Constructech Top Product winner. The program cuts through all the noise to find the best products serving the construction industry, taking into consideration the core functionality of the product, the uniqueness provided to the construction industry, and how it fills a need in the space.

At the end of the day, this product ensures you always have the correct contact information when and where you need it. Isn’t this what all contractors need in today’s competitive construction market: one source of the truth? This is an example of one product that offers that.
