The construction industry is getting connected with the rise of new equipment and technologies that enable data to assist in helping on the job. Last year, Counterpoint Technology Market Research suggested it expects the connected construction machinery market to see an annual growth rate of 11% in the next eight years.

While this certainly can vary widely—some connected solutions are factory-direct while others are aftermarket—the benefits are significant for the construction industry.

Consider the example of the INSIGHT Mixer System from Revolution Concrete Mixers. From Auto Load at the plant to System Washout after the delivery, INSIGHT Mixer System gives workers the tools needed to operate mixers easily.

“I love it when I see good, innovative products for the jobsite—and that is exactly what Revolution Concrete Mixers brings to the table with INSIGHT Mixer System,” says Peggy Smedley, editorial director of Constructech magazine, and president of Specialty Publishing Media. “The technology aims to make it easier to do the job of loading, mixing, hauling, and delivering, providing the data when and where the equipment operators and owners need it.”

The company’s latest updates to its INSIGHT Mixer System include software adaptations to make it easier to integrate the system with other applications that customers use on a daily basis. Part of those upgrades include making it easy to pass data back and forth between the system and applications that can prove to be difficult or impossible with other control systems.

These advancements in integration capabilities come alongside the company’s ongoing software updates to its proprietary algorithms to help users maximize performance, usability, and usefulness in their everyday use of the system on their jobsites and locations across the country. Revolution Concrete Mixers is additionally focused on meaningful innovations in sustainability, efficiency, and operator assurance.

The technology was recently named to the 2024 Constructech Top Products, which can help streamline business processes, amid a worker shortage. The judges have come together and decided on the top 91 products that are making real contributions as standouts for 2024. Ultimately 24 were chosen as the crème of the crop—and the INSIGHT Mixer System from Revolution Concrete Mixers is one of those products.

The bottom line is that Revolution Concrete Mixers is on a mission to start a revolution in concrete mixer technology—and that is exactly what it is doing, employing technologically advanced applications and data software to deliver a seamless experience for the operator and the owner, from the plant to the jobsite and back again.
