Success Stories: Robot for Food Manufacturing

The North American food manufacturing industry is facing a number of challenges: labor shortages, space limitations, and food safety concerns, just to name a few. But do not worry, because robots are coming to the rescue for CPGs (consumer packaged goods) companies.

As one example, Rotzinger Group has launched an advanced Robot with an Integrated Buffer and its Hygienic Conveyor for dry cleaning. Designed for confectionery and bakery products, the hygienic conveyor is optimized for dry cleaning, ensuring compliance with stringent food safety regulations in U.S. manufacturing.

The robot is capable of efficiently picking and placing both unpacked and packed products into various packaging formats such as cartons, cases, thermoforms, flow-wrappers, and cartooning machines.

Here is how this can help in manufacturing:

    • Help overcome workforce challenges and a lack of available labor.
    • A reduced footprint, enabling greater efficiency, for CPGs that are in older buildings with small and awkward layouts.
    • Local service support and proprietary hardware and software platform.

Looking to the future, we are going to see more technology to enable greater efficiencies in the food manufacturing industry, especially as the labor shortages continue.
